About the event
Mandala Yoga is a dynamic and creative style, rooted in chakra and elemental systems. We will flow 360° around the mat, making the shape of a mandala which represents the ebb and flow of the universe.
In this workshop we will be focusing on the Water Element, activating the kidney and bladder meridians and focusing on asanas that will stretch and strengthen the muscles of the groin and hips. On a deeper level we will learn to go with the flow, find fluidity in movement and connect with our emotional selves.
Workshop Outline:
- 10 minute pranayama & meditation at the start and end of class.
- Yin Yoga at the start to prepare and softly awaken the areas of focus and at the end to gently harmonise the body.
- 75 minute Mandala flow focusing on groin, hips and deep lunges.
A regular practice or experience of Vinyasa yoga is recommended.
